MASSAGE MODALITIES

MIGUN MASSAGE BEDS - These are automatic beds for you to try for free. 15 - 36 minute sessions offer heat, far infrared light, and a great massage for your legs, hips, back and neck. Come try one today! $10 for 15 minutes, $15 for 30 min. sessions, discounted if you combine it with a massage from our therapists.

CHAIR MASSAGE - We have 2 chairs available at our office, or yours for shoulder, neck, arm & back massage. $1 per minute, no clothing removal. This is a great gift from the boss to say “We appreciate you!”

TABLE MASSAGE - Table massage in the convenience of your home. We will come to you in the comfort of your home/office for table massage if you have 4 or more interested and a Set Up fee may apply.
Great for Holiday Get-togethers, Bridal Parties, Bachelorette Parties, and even “Hunting Widows”!

SWEDISH / RELAXATION MASSAGE - Traditional relaxation massage using long, gliding strokes.

DEEP TISSUE/SPORTS MASSAGE – A more therapeutic approach to the traditional massage which applies deep pressure, with knuckles, thumbs & elbows, in attempts to relieve chronic and acute problems in the underlying layers of soft tissue (muscle, tendons, ligaments).

ASHIATSU – This is the traditional Japanese-style medium pressure massage, done on a pad, on the floor, with the therapist’s feet! You’ll love it! If you’ve ever said, “Walk on my back” you’ll love this massage modality. (60 minutes +)

FIJIAN MASSAGE – This massage is done on the floor with the practitioner’s feet. You’ll love the convenience of no clothing removal. ”Great for a quick 15 minute, or Deep Tissue massage.”

TRADITIONAL THAI MASSAGE – full hour of stretching & acupressure. This Modality has been dubbed..“Lazy Man’s Yoga”. Done on a pad on the floor, fully clothed. (60 minutes +)

CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY – This is an extremely light tissue therapy which allows slight adjustment of the tension on the spine (the cranium thru the sacrum), thereby releasing the Cerebrospinal fluid, offering a very subtle, but significant change, in many aspects.

MYOFASCIAL RELEASE – “Fascia” (often compared to Connective Tissue) is an intricate system of tendon-like material that weaves in and around our muscles, bones and also literally connects our skin to us. Much pain can be caused by the web-like fascia tightening in one area and pulling across to another region of the body. Light stretching and subtle twisting may lead to a deep release throughout with this technique.

PREGNANCY MASSAGE – Because of the unusual strain put on the female body during pregnancy, this massage is a great way to offer some relief to an overstressed back and tired feet & legs. At MASSAGE WORKS NHC we have a special pillow that allows the mom-to-be to lay on her belly, up to 9 months! And, she deserves it!

HOT STONE MASSAGE – This massage will take you into a state of relaxation that no other massage can. Smooth, round stones are heated to the perfect temperature and placed on various pressure points for ultimate relaxation. After the muscles have softened, another set of heated stones are used to do additional massage to warm you through and through. The Perfect Gift of relaxation, and you deserve it!

MEDICAL MASSAGE FOR THE CANCER PATIENT – This is done by a trained Therapist who understands the effects of Chemo and Radiation Therapy. Medical Massage can greatly relieve the client of physical discomfort, by circulating the toxicity of the Chemotherapy out of the body quickly, in order to reduce the unwanted side effects. This massage is great for releasing physical tension, as well as emotional apprehension. And, Amy understands, as she is 7 ½ years in remission herself.

RAINDROP THERAPY – A light massage done with several therapeutic grade essential oils, meant to cleanse the tissues at a cellular level of waste material built up inside. This massage will take you to a level of cleansing peace you may not have known.

SPA-LIKE SERVICES

PARRAFIN DIP – Perfect for the arthritic client, as the warmth of paraffin wax is known to relieve aching joints, and leaves skin feeling soft and new. Hands, Feet & Face Available.

EAR CANDLING – A foot-long cone is put through a paper plate, and inserted into the Eustachian tube, & (the end away from the client) is then carefully lit on fire. The flame creates a vacuum, which pulls debris from the ear canal. It’s the client’s choice to use 1-4 cones in each ear, and they will be amazed at what comes out! This service is great for those who have ringing in the ears, vertigo, wax buildup, sinus infections, or hearing loss.

FACIAL-LIFT MASSAGE – Much like a facial, but with the added touch of a qualified massage therapist. Give yourself a gift, You deserve it!
